Specially valuable or fragile books (and other items) can be protected by custom-made boxes. At 'The Bookbindery' we make boxes specifically for this purpose. In addition, sometimes these beautiful boxes are made principally for decorative reasons.

Proper boxes like this are quite time consuming to make. They need to be made strongly, and as every box is custom made, each of the many pieces is individually cut, joined, etc.

We manufacture slip cases, solander boxes (also called clamshell boxes) and other styles. There is a large range of colour choice and we can make the boxes as plain or as fancy as you desire.
